WEMF2011 Participation Waivers
All patrons will be required to sign a camping waiver and show valid ID upon arrival at the gate. To speed the entry procedure, please fill out and print the waiver in advance by downloading it from our website. WAIVERS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST.

WILL THE ENTRANCE TO THE CAMPGROUNDS BE OPEN 24 HOURS?

Yes.

WHAT WILL YOU BE PROVIDING AT THE CAMPGROUNDS?

There will be 24hr security, medical services & port-a-lets. There will be water and ice for sale, as well as well as ATMs and a variety of vendors within the campgrounds. There will also be free water provided by on-site water trucks.

WHAT EMERGENCY SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE? WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE (MEDICAL, POLICE, TOWING, LOCKSMITH, ETC.)?

There will be 24hr medical available throughout the campgrounds and festival site. We also have locksmith and towing/auto services on call all weekend (additional charges). Please locate

medical stations on the map when you arrive. You can stop any Ontario Police Officer you see, or any staff/security member you see for assistance. Everyone is here to help you! Please ask for help if you or someone else may need it!

WHERE SHOULD I GO IF I LOSE MY KEYS, MY WALLET OR MY FRIENDS?

To the Security Station near the Main Festival Entrance. We will have a lost and found for items as well as an announcement board that you can use to try and find your friends. Please check the map when you arrive for exact location of the Security Station.

WHAT WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO BRING INTO THE CAMPGROUNDS?

You can bring food/drink, alcohol (if you are 19+), coolers, small propane cooking stoves, and ALL the drinking water your heart desires. Please note that glass is not allowed and all bottles must still be sealed when entering WEMF.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED FROM WEMF2011 CAMPGROUNDS:

No weapons or firearms of any kind

No fireworks

No illegal substances

No unauthorized vending of any kind will be allowed. This will be strictly enforced by security. Please note that the sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited by law; violators risk arrest charges or worse.

No box trucks or cube vans unless they are for a preauthorized community stage

No bicycles or scooters or personal motorized vehicles will be permitted (This includes, but is not limited to: golf carts, ATV’s motor scooters, and powered skateboards)

NO GLASS CONTAINERS OF ANY KIND! (This includes, but is not limited to: glass bottles, glass food jars, and anything made of glass). All glass containers will be confiscated upon entry to the festival and no exceptions will be made

Excessively large amounts of alcohol will be confiscated

NO PETS! Pets will be picked up and placed with the local humane society. Please use the local kennels if you are traveling with your pet. If a pet is found in the car you will be turned away – regardless how long you have waited in line or if you have ticket or not. Service animals, trained to assist an individual with a disability, are allowed

AM I ALLOWED TO SELL FOOD/DRINK IN THE CAMPING AREA?

You are NOT allowed to sell food or drink (or anything) on the property. WEMF is on private property and there is an anti-vending law in effect.

WILL BANDS OR DJS BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE CAMPING AREA IF NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE FESTIVAL? DO WE NEED A PERMIT IF SO?

Only preapproved Community Stages are permitted to play more than personal music devices.

WILL SMALL CAMPFIRES BE ALLOWED IN THE CAMPING AREAS? WILL YOU ALLOW FIRE BINS?

No fires are permitted. You are permitted to bring and use small propane stoves for cooking.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING GAS POWERED GENERATORS?

No generators allowed in camping areas unless they are solar powered. Community stages are allowed to use gas generators but they MUST be preapproved in your community stage proposal.

WILL THERE BE ANY ELECTRICITY IN THE CAMPING AREA?

A vendor is offering a “Pay-Per-Use” gadget recharge station at Centre Camp. Beyond that, no power is available.

IS THERE CELL PHONE SERVICE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE FESTIVAL SITE?

Yes! All networks.

CAN I SET UP A LARGE PAVILION TENT?

Because space is limited, there will be no pavilion tents allowed unless pre-approved for use as a community stage area.

WHERE WILL WE BE CAMPING / PARKING? ARE WE GOING TO BE ABLE TO CAMP NEXT TO OUR CARS?

Upon arrival, you will be directed into the parking area which is located in the event grounds and mostly next to the general camping area. Once parked, we ask that you leave your car unless you have to leave the event grounds.

WHAT CONSTITUTES AN “RV”?

An RV is defined as any vehicle larger either in length, width or height than a normal sixteen (16) passenger van. All oversized vehicles, trailers, and campers that are towed and busses are considered RVs.

WHAT CAN I BRING INTO THE MAIN DANCE AREAS?

  • One water/beverage container per person (up to 1 gallon)
  • Small personal/disposable cameras
  • Low backed beach chairs
  • Towels & blankets
  • Yoga Mats
  • CamelBaks

WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE FESTIVAL AND COME BACK?

Yes. Please note that you will be subject to search each time you enter the festival grounds.

WILL THERE BE ATM MACHINES INSIDE THE VENUE?

Yes. One is located at the entrance gate and another in vendor village.

WILL THERE BE LOCKERS ON SITE?

No, we ask that you lock all your valuables in the car (hidden and out of site) or keep them on your person.

WILL THERE BE A LOST & FOUND? (LOST KEYS, CELL PHONES, ETC.)

Yes, at the Security Station near the Festival’s main entrance. Please check the map upon arrival for exact location of the Security Station.

WILL THERE BE SUNGLASSES / VISORS OR HATS / SUNSCREEN SOLD?

These items will be available at the vendor village. Please check the map upon arrival for exact locations.

WILL THERE BE VEGETARIAN/VEGAN FOOD OFFERED?

WEMF will host a large variety of food vendors, including vegetarian, vegan and organic options.

WILL THERE BE FLUSHABLE TOILETS AND SINKS AVAILABLE?

There will be regular port-a-lets and hand-washing stations in select areas in the campground and festival.

WILL THERE BE PAYPHONES?

No.
